AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE 20.215 SUMMARY FOR PUBLICATION The City of Mount Clemens has adopted an ordinance amending Section 20.215 of the City Code regarding the impounding and immobilization of motor vehicles for unpaid parking violations. The ordinance reduces the number of outstanding past due parking violations or citations required before a vehicle may be subject to impoundment or immobilization from six (6) violations to four (4) violations. The amendment also updates notice requirements and clarifies that all outstanding past due parking violations must be paid in full to avoid enforcement action. The City finds that the amendment is necessary to strengthen parking enforcement efforts, improve compliance with parking regulations, and reduce the accumulation of unpaid parking violations within the City.
