ARMADA AREA SCHOOLS NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED 2026-2027 Labor Day Waiver PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. in the Administration Building Board Room (2nd Floor), 74500 Burk Street, Armada, MI 48005, the Board of Education of Armada Area Schools will hold a joint, public hearing to consider a (3 year) waiver to change the District’s proposed 2026-2027, 2027-2028, 2028-2029 calendar which will allow the Armada Area School District to schedule instruction before Labor Day. The Board may not adopt its proposed calendars until a member of the Michigan Department of Education provides approval of the waiver. An MDE representative will be joining the hearing remotely via conference call. A copy of the proposed calendar change is available for public inspection during normal business hours as of Friday, January 16, 2026, in the Superintendent’s Office located in the Administration Building, 74500 Burk Street, Armada, Michigan.
