NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CITY OF ROCHESTER of OAKLAND COUNTY, MI NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ADOPTION OF A BROWNFIELD PLAN FOR THE CITY OF ROCHESTER PURSUANT TO AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH ACT 381 OF THE PUBLIC ACTS OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN OF 1996, AS AMENDED PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT a Public Hearing shall be held before the City Council of the City of Rochester on the 12h day of January 2026, at 7:00 pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall located at 400 Sixth Street, Rochester, MI 48307, on the adoption of a proposed Brownfield Plan for the TRAILS AT PAINT CREEK REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT, located at 704 Woodward Avenue, Rochester, Michigan. The Rochester Brownfield Redevelopment Authority shall exercise its powers pursuant to and in accordance with the provisions of the Brownfield Redevelopment Financing Act, being Act 381 of the Public Acts of the State of Michigan of 1996, as amended. The description of the brownfield property is: Land situated in the City of Rochester, County of Oakland, State of Michigan. The brownfield property (“subject property”) consists of one (1) legal parcels (parcel ID: 68-15-10-252-006, totals approximately 3.54 acres and is ”) located off the South Rochester Road Corridor, bounded by the property boundary to the north and east, Woodward Avenue to the south, and Paint Creek Trail to the west. The subject property is underutilized and currently vacant since at least 2020. The project includes the demolition of the existing industrial building and abatement and site improvements and construction of residential townhomes along Paint Creek Trail. The proposed Brownfield Plan would allow the Rochester Brownfield Redevelopment Authority to reimburse the Developer for eligible costs incurred to prepare the brownfield property for redevelopment. Eligible costs include those related to environmental investigations, environmental remediation, brownfield plan preparation and implementation, in accordance with PA 381, as amended. This description of the property along with any maps and a description of the Brownfield Plan are available for public inspection at Rochester City Hall, 400 Sixth Street, Rochester, MI 48307.
