City of Pontiac Office of the City Clerk Notice of Public Hearings Notice is hereby given that the City of Pontiac will hold the following Public Hearings on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall 47450 Woodward Avenue, Pontiac MI 48342 to hear public comments. 1. Public Hearing Regarding the Creation of an Industrial Development District (IDD) located at 2100 South Opdyke Road Pontiac, MI 48341: The developer, FANUC America, seeks to construct 1 single-story building with 840,000 square feet for manufacturing, research and development, and other industrial uses. FANUC America is projecting this new plant would provide $90 million investment over three years and result in 225 new jobs, and 100 retained jobs. 2. Public Hearing Regarding the Issuance of an Industrial Facilities Exemption (IFE) Certificate for the Property located at 2100 South Opdyke Road Pontiac, MI 48341 (64-19-03-200-027): The developer, FANUC America, seeks to construct 1 single-story building with 840,000 square feet for manufacturing, research and development, and other industrial uses. FANUC America is projecting this new plant would provide $90 million investment over three years and result in 225 new jobs, and 100 retained jobs.
