ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS UTICA COMMUNITY SCHOOLS UCS 2026 PLAYGROUND IMPROVEMENTS AEW PROJECT NO. 0209-2225, 0209-3025, 0209-3125, 0209-3225 RECEIPT OF BIDS Utica Community Schools (UCS) will receive sealed bids, labeled “UCS – 2026 Playground Improvements”, addressed to “Attention: Ms. Kelli Rankin, Secretary, Board of Education, Utica Community Schools, Gibbing Administrative Center, 11303 Greendale, Sterling Heights, MI 48312” until 2:00pm, local time on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the UCS offices, 11303 Greendale, Sterling Heights, Michigan 48312, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud, via zoom meeting. Bids received after the above specified date and time will not be opened, considered or accepted. They will be returned unopened. BID REQUIREMENTS All Bids must include a sworn and notarized Affidavit of Compliance – Iran Economic Sanctions Act. Each Bid must be accompanied by a sworn and notarized Familial Relationship Disclosure Statement. The Board of Education will not accept a Bid that does not include this sworn and notarized disclosure statement. DESCRIPTION OF WORK Removal of existing playground equipment and EWF. Installation of new playground equipment, installation of underdrain and concrete borders around playgrounds. Minor paving improvements to HMA play pads. Joint Seal, seal coat & striping of play pad and parking lot. Additional ROW improvements at Duncan Elementary. An overall estimated construction cost of $ 2,725,000.00. PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS Plans and specifications shall be obtained from AEW at aterry@aewinc.com or (586)726-1234. Plans and specifications will be available on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 1:00 PM. AEW will maintain a plan-holder list and provide updates for any pertinent information. A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 1:00 pm, via Zoom. A Zoom link will be sent out to all plan holders.
